Hoda Kotb, a journalist and host on the “Today” show, has been absent from her show for more than a week due to a “family health matter,” according to her colleague Craig Melvin.
Kotb has yet to address the situation publicly.
However, fans have expressed concern for the 58-year-old, with many commenting on her recent Instagram posts featuring inspirational quotes.
Amid Kotb’s absence, her co-host Savannah Guthrie had to leave the show unexpectedly on Tuesday after testing positive for COVID-19.
NBC has not announced when either host will return or who will fill their roles.
Kotb is a mother of two daughters and co-parents with her ex-fiancé.
