Governor Dunleavy Expresses Concern Over Unidentified Object Shot Down in Alaskan Waters

Alaska Governor Mike Dunleavy has stated the shooting down of an unidentified object over Alaskan waters.

The object was shot down by an F-22 fighter jet from Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson.

Governor Dunleavy expressed concern about the national security implications of the event and praised the military for eliminating the potential threat.

However, he also questioned the White House’s decision not to shoot down a Chinese spy balloon flying over the Aleutian Chain last week.

Governor Dunleavy emphasized that Alaska is on the front lines of national security due to its proximity to other countries, such as Russia and China.

He believes that quick decisions need to be made to protect Alaska and the United States and that the incident highlights the importance of improving military capabilities in the state.

The Alaska National Guard is working closely with USNORTHCOM and other agencies to provide support as needed.

Governor Dunleavy concluded that Alaska remains a strategic place for geopolitics and national defense.
