Kelsea Ballerini Debut Performance on “Saturday Night Live”

Kelsea Ballerini, the country-pop sensation, debuted on the famous sketch comedy show “Saturday Night Live” over the weekend.

The 29-year-old singer performed two songs on the show, including “Penthouse” and “Blindsided” from her latest EP, “Rolling Up The Welcome Mat,” which was released last month.

Ballerini, who hails from Tennessee, sang a beautiful piano-and-vocals rendition of “Penthouse” while dressed in all-white.

The song is a standout track from her new EP and was written after her divorce from fellow singer Morgan Evans last August.

During her “Blindsided” performance, Ballerini added a new line to the song, seemingly calling out Evans’ new breakup single “Over For You.”

She sang, “Now you are singing it loud on the radio like you are the only heart that breaks/ You would have searched the whole world? Yeah, sure, OK.”

A six-piece band backed Ballerini, and a silhouetted dancer mirrored her performance behind a blue-and-white screen.

She shared the stage with Travis Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs tight-end, who made his hosting debut on the show.

Ballerini’s performance on “Saturday Night Live” was a huge success and cemented her status as a rising star in the country-pop genre.

Fans and critics praised her powerful vocals and emotional performances, and many eagerly anticipate her future projects.
