GENERAL HOSPITAL Introduces Baby Amelia, Played by Twin Boys

The arrival of Baby Amelia on the popular soap opera GENERAL HOSPITAL has caused quite a stir.

The infant made her debut on the show on January 31 and is played by twin boys named Nathan and Owen Ford.

The storyline behind Baby Amelia’s birth is quite dramatic.

First, willow Tait, pregnant with Michael Corinthos‘ baby, was diagnosed with leukemia.

She delayed treatment to give her unborn child the best chance of survival.

However, by the time she was ready to receive treatment, she had already reached stage four of the disease.

So doctors urged her to give birth prematurely to harvest stem cells from the umbilical cord and placenta to treat her leukemia.

During the birth, Michael was by Willow’s side. After the baby girl was born, Willow experienced a medical emergency, and doctors worked to save her life.

Thankfully, Michael’s voice brought Willow back from the brink, and when she woke up, she was eager to meet her new child.

The baby was named Amelia Grace.

However, the news could have been better. Dr. Terry Randolph reported that they could not harvest enough stem cells from the umbilical cord and placenta to treat Willow’s leukemia.

Despite this setback, fans of GENERAL HOSPITAL are eager to see how the storyline continues to unfold.

Baby Amelia’s dramatic arrival is just the latest in a long line of dramatic soap opera births that keep viewers glued to their screens.
