Actress Tabyana Ali has not yet made her debut as General Hospital's Trina Robinson.
However, the actress shares that she has already received a hot welcome from the show's fan base.
Shortly after, news broke that she would be joining GH following current portrayer Sydney Mikayla's decision to leave the role to focus on school.
Ali took to social media to share her excitement about her new job and the flood of positive comments she had received.
The new GH star tweeted.
"I am so grateful to have this opportunity!, Thank you all for the warm welcoming. I am so happy to be in this position."
In addition to thousands of fans wishing the newcomer well, Mikayla jumped in to cheer Ali on, sharing heart emojis and an encouraging, "You got this!"
GH executive producer Frank Valentini shared his enthusiasm about Ali's addition to the cast.
"We are excited to welcome Tabyana Ali and see what she will do with the role of Trina," he said when the recasting news broke."
Moreover, speaking of what the actress will do with the role of Trina, storyline details remain under wraps.
However, Tabyana Ali teased on Instagram over the weekend that "some great MAGIC is coming."
Sydney Mikayla will reportedly make her final appearance as Trina on Thursday, March 17, with Ali making her debut shortly after.
