Steve Burton Files For Divorce

The real-life drama between soap star Steve Burton and his ex-wife, Sheree Gustin, has reached the next stage.

After announcing in May that they were separating, the actor is now ready to make the split legal and official.

Steve Burton lists March 1 as the date of separation and cites “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the divorce.

In May, the actor announced to fans on Instagram that they were separating.

He revealed that Sheree was expecting her fourth child, but “the child is not mine.”

Burton and Sheree were married on January 17, 1999, and they have three children together Makena (18), Jack (16), and Brooklyn (7).

According to the divorce papers, Burton is seeking joint legal and physical custody of their children.

Also, he wants the court to terminate either party’s ability to get spousal support after the divorce.

Best known for his role as Jason Morgan on GENERAL HOSPITAL,

Burton was let go from the ABC soap when he refused to comply with the COVID vaccine mandate set down by ABC/Disney to help protect the cast and crew of their productions.

He was also seen as Dylan McAvoy on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS.

He can currently be seen reprising his old DAYS OF OUR LIVES role of Harris Michaels on the second series of its spinoff, BEYOND SALEM, currently streaming on Peacock.
