Steve Burton About His General Hospital Firing

By THOUSIF INC

Steve Burton's firing feels like ancient history now that the longtime General Hospital (GH) actor is back on daytime television in Days Of Our Lives.

Moreover, now that he has had time to process the reason he was let go from the ABC soap, Burton has revealed his feelings about health protocols and life after GH.

"There must be protocols in place; everybody was social distancing, masking."

"It is the same thing at Days. Moreover, they can take tests there, which is smart, every day when you go in."

"It has not relaxed, and I do not think it should go for a little while,"

"It was my belief, and I stuck to it, and I knew it was gonna be that way,"

"It is a personal choice, and I had to do that. GH was a huge part of my life, and I am so grateful for the opportunity and the people there."

"I just do not have anything bad to say,"

"[The firing] was a handshake – 'Hey, it does not work for you. It does not work for me.' Okay, great. Awesome. That was it. Moreover, that is okay."

"In life, it is perspective. It is how you choose to handle it. We all have a choice in how to handle things."

"You could get angry and pissed off and bad-mouth people and take the low road, and that is not gonna get anyone anywhere, ever."

"I knew there was a possibility that The Young and the Restless may call because I was on it,"

"I did not know that this opportunity would come up! I would never shut the door in the daytime,"

"That has been my place. That is where I have learned to act. That is where I have lived for so long. Moreover, there are only four shows left now."

"I did not even get to read the scripts. I was excited that it was a limited run. We did so many stunts."

"It is funny because obviously on GH, I had one wardrobe, you know? I joke that I had more wardrobe changes in Beyond Salem than I have my whole career on GH."

"He is not operating on a great code of ethics, I do not know how much I can say, but he does some not nice things in this chapter. There may be some redemption."

"I do not know," the soap veteran shrugged. "From what I gather, Peacock's happy with this, NBC's happy with this. However, if the opportunity is there, sure. I never say never."
