She has been travelling around Europe for the past few months, but GENERAL HOSPITAL fan-favourite Lexi Ainsworth (Kristina) will finally be making a pit stop in Port Charles!
On June 27, the actress announced she was back at work on the soap set.
In an Instagram Story, Ainsworth shared a moody photo from her dressing room, tagging the GH Instagram page and pinning her location as The Prospect Studios, where the soap tapes.
Sporting a white short-sleeved blouse and loose beachy waves, Ainsworth held her hair back to show off her earrings.
“Will the hoops come off,” she wrote in the text of her Story, posting a poll for her followers to cast their vote.
Ainsworth last appeared on the soap for a handful of episodes back in February, when Kristina helped Sonny try to woo Carly.
The actress left on her European adventure in March, booking a one-way ticket to Rome and travelling across Italy, the United Kingdom, Greece, Turkey, and France.
In comments to fans, Ainsworth said that she would head back to the United States should GH need her return as Kristina.
Moreover, the first hint that an appearance would be coming sooner rather than later was when Ainsworth jumped on an Instagram Live.
With her TV pop, Maurice Benard (Sonny) and the daytime legend teased that there may be some father/daughter scenes in the future.
In the comments of a photo of a white horse against a beautiful Suffolk, UK, sunset that Ainsworth posted in mid-June,
She replied to a follower that she “will be coming back soon” to the soap opera.
Moreover, just days before she was back at work on the GH set, Ainsworth shared a photo while hanging out at Aviator Nation Dreamland lounge in Malibu.
Several followers asked if she would return to the soap now that she was stateside, and Ainsworth teased, “You will be seeing me soon.”
There is no word on when Ainsworth will be on screen, but hopefully, it will not be too long before viewers see Kristina again!
