Jensen Ackles opened up about his Supernatural costar Jared Padalecki's car accident.
Padalecki recently missed a New Jersey fan event to take time to heal.
"I miss my buddy," Ackles shared with the crowd in East Brunswick at Creation Entertainment's Supernatural Official Conventions on Sunday, April 24.
"[Padalecki] sends his love. I spoke with him yesterday. He is sad he cannot be here."
Ackles assured fans that he spoke with Padalecki and got approval to share some accident details with the audience.
"He was in a terrible car accident," Padalecki explained. "He was not driving. He was in the passenger seat, and he is lucky to be alive."
"He is at home recovering, and the fact that he is not even in the hospital right now is blowing my mind because I saw the car."
He added that the airbags inflated when the collision, leaving Padalecki exhausted.
"That airbag packs a punch," Ackles shared. "He is like, 'I feel like I went 12 rounds with Tyson.'
However, he is doing OK, and he is moving around. However, yeah, [it was a] bad car accident.
"Just keep him in your thoughts, send him some love if you get a chance on social, and he will be back with us soon."
Padalecki shared an apology with fans on Thursday, April 21.
"Hey, #SpnFamily! Sorry to miss you all in NYC this weekend."
"Thank you and the #WalkerFamily for all the love and support. I cannot wait to see you all again," he wrote on Twitter with prayer hands and heart emoji.
