Singer-composer Bappi Lahiri died in a Mumbai hospital, confirmed the doctor. He was 69.
Bappi Lahiri suffered from Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) and recurrent chest infection.
He was hospitalized in CritiCare Hospital, Juhu, for 29 days.
However, he recovered well and was discharged (for) home on February 15, 2022
However, after a day at home, his health again deteriorated.
He was brought back to CritiCare hospital in a critical state and succumbed to his illness at about 11.45 pm.
He suffered from a Covid infection last year.
The last rites will be held on February 17 as they are waiting for Bappi's son Bappa Lahiri to return from Los Angeles.
Fondly known as Bappi da, he was as known for his hit numbers as his fascination with gold.
