The Ministry of Health and Prevention has approved the Sinopharm vaccination for children aged three and up as part of the UAE’s ongoing fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
The decision was taken after the Ministry announced: “clinical experiments” and “extensive evaluations” in Abu Dhabi.
The National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) tweeted the announcement on Twitter, “MoHAP announced the provision of Sinopharm vaccine for the age group 3 – 17.”
“The decision is based on the emergency use authorization and local evaluations that comply with the established laws and comes after clinical studies and rigorous reviews.”
Following the statement by the NCEMA, the Abu Dhabi Media Office announced the clinical trials on behalf of the Ministry of Health.
