New York: After School And Saturday Special Education Services

New York City will provide after-school and Saturday services for students with disabilities.

The program is the widest-reaching effort so far to address learning gaps caused by the pandemic. Advocates say they are “cautiously optimistic and excited” about the plan.

The program will not launch on the first day of school, but it will begin in October or early November. Advocates say there are logistical questions about how the program.
