The Delhi Women’s Commission chairperson has written a letter to the President seeking the return of the Padma Shri given to actress Kangana Ranaut.
Swati Maliwal, the Delhi Women’s Commission chairperson, has said that Kangana Ranaut should be charged with treason for calling India’s independence a begging.
Swati Maliwal added that Kangana was portraying people she could not agree with the foul language and that Kangana was poisoning the people of her own country.
“Kangana Ranaut’s remarks hurt the feelings of millions of Indians. Kangana Ranaut’s statement reflects her hatred for the countless freedom fighters who fought for the country, including Mahatma Gandhi and Bhagat Singh,”

Congress is also demanding the return of the Padma Shri given to Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut.
The Congress came against Kangana after Kangana’s claim that India got absolute independence after Narendra Modi came to power as the Prime Minister.
The Indian National Congress Party demanded that Kangana Ranaut’s remark was treasonous and that the Padma Shri be taken back.
